Although we work with many types and stock some fabrics, most of those come from our customers. They choose what they want the design to look like and we help from there. Some fabrics are easier to work with (or even MUCH easier to work with) than others, and the time spent in smoothing and straightening fabrics for an easy cut can matter when it comes to cost. We are happy to advise on types and thicknesses of fabrics during the design phase. We also design the tools to maximize the usage of the materials.

Yes! That is one of things we do. We can help narrow down options, or provide direction. Then, we can look at samples and see how each would act on press. Then we can make solid recommendations on what materials would work the best for each given application and your goals as the customer.
Different materials react in different ways on press… and differently on different types of machinery. Also, some materials that seem similar can have drastically different price points. If possible, we like to be involved in material selection early in the engineering process.
